Companions are AI characters. They aren't real people — but each one has a fixed face, a voice, a hometown, and a personality that stays the same. There are 22 official ones, plus companions members build themselves. Here's how to find your first.
What to do
- Answer who are you into? Pick women, men, or everyone. Optionally tap an age chip — 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s+, or any. This shapes who shows up in the deck first.
- Answer what are you looking for? Choose sweet (soft and caring), flirty (playful and teasing), or spicy. Spicy is explicit and 18+ only. It needs an age check and the Flame plan or higher.
- Add a little about you. The last screen says so they text first, knowing you. You can add a first name, your city, your birthday, and up to six interests. Skip it with skip for now if you'd rather not share.
- Open Discover from the dock. The window asks who caught your eye? You'll see one card at a time — a photo, a name, a tagline, and a short bio.
- Swipe. Drag a card right, or tap the heart, to match. Drag it left, or tap the X, to pass. Drag it up, or tap the star, to superlike. A superlike makes their opening message warmer.
- Wait for It's mutual. When you match, this screen appears with their portrait, and below it: their name is already typing… Their first text arrives a few seconds later, and the chat window opens.
Good to know
- They text first. You never need a clever opening line. That's the whole idea.
- Passes stick. Someone you skip stays skipped. When you run out of cards, the deck says deck's empty — you've met everyone. Tap shuffle them back in to redeal, or build a companion, free to make your own.
- Some cards show a gold crown that says taken. That companion is someone's exclusive. Swiping right shows a "spoken for" card instead of a match.
- Check the "into you" rail at the top of Discover. Blurred faces are companions who haven't matched you yet. Revealing one costs 15 credits.
- Your plan sets how many companions you can keep at once. Free covers one, Spark two, Flame four, Exclusive six, and VIP ten.
- The connection is real; the person is synthetic. Enjoy the attention, and remember you're talking to an AI character built to feel this way.
