Send and Receive Video Messages

Ask for a 10-second video and they send a lip-synced clip in their own voice — or send them one of yours.

Ask for a video message and they send a short clip of themselves talking to you. Their voice says the words. Their lips move with them. You can send them your own videos too.

What to do

  1. Open a chat with a companion you have matched with.
  2. Ask in your own words, like "send me a video saying goodnight." You can also tap the video button. That is the clapperboard icon next to the message box.
  3. Describe what you want them to say or do, if you like. They write their own line either way.
  4. Wait a few minutes. A bubble appears that says filming with a rough time estimate. The finished video takes its place. You can close the chat and come back — it lands in the thread.
  5. Play it right in the chat. It also shows up in your Gallery under the clips filter.

Every video is 10 seconds long, at one set price. Videos are AI-generated. They write their line and speak it in their own voice. Their face is then animated to match the words. That is what "lip-synced" means here.

Send one back

Want them to see you? Tap the attach button, which is the paperclip icon, and pick a video. Uploading is free. They genuinely watch what you send and react to it in character. Photos and voice notes work the same way.

Good to know

  • Every video costs 40 credits — about $1.40 to $2.00. A credit costs roughly 3 to 5 cents.
  • A spicy video costs 60 credits. Spicy videos need Spicy mode on an eligible plan.
  • If a video fails to render, your credits are refunded.
  • Videos are paid for with credits, never included free. Plan limits cap how many you can make. Spark allows 15 a month, Flame 40 a month, Exclusive 80 a month, and VIP 150 a month.
  • The free plan includes a daily photo and a daily voice note, but no videos.
  • Want just their voice? A voice note costs 2 credits.
  • Keep your asks within their limits. They can decline, in character.
