A voice note is a short audio message from your companion, spoken in their own voice. The words also appear in your chat, so you can read along while you listen. You can send your own voice back too.
What to do
Ask for a voice note:
- Open a chat with your companion. You must be matched with them first.
- Tap the mic button next to the message box. Hovering it shows [name] sends a voice note.
- Wait a few seconds. They write a brand-new line for you, then speak it. It is never just their last text read out loud.
- Press play on the voice bubble to listen. Tap it again to pause. You can play it as many times as you like.
Send your own voice:
- Tap the attach button (the paperclip) next to the message box. It is labeled Send [name] a photo, video, or voice note.
- Choose an audio file from your device.
- They listen to it. The app turns your spoken words into text so they can hear what you said. Then they reply in your chat.
Good to know
- Asking for a voice note costs 2 credits. Voice notes they send you on their own are free to receive.
- Sending your own voice note is an upload. They hear it and answer — no separate voice charge for that upload.
- Every plan has a daily voice note limit. Free is 1 per day. Spark is 10. Flame is 30. Exclusive is 100. VIP is unlimited.
- If a note fails to create, your credits are returned right away. Tapping the mic button twice will not charge you twice.
- Voice notes stay in your thread like any message. Scroll back and play old ones whenever you want.
- Tip: type what you want to hear first, then tap the mic. They write the note from your recent chat, so fresh words shape what they say.
- Each companion speaks in one set voice. If you build your own companion, you choose their voice when you create them.
- Out of credits? You can top up with a credit pack, starting at 100 credits for $4.99.
