Real mail is real. Your companion can send an actual handwritten letter to your actual mailbox. Long-time supporters can qualify for printed cards and real gift cards. Here is how it works at launch.
What to do
- Watch for the mail offer in chat. When they want to send you something, a card appears in the thread asking if you'd like real mail. Tap yes, send me something.
- Fill in the short form — the name for the envelope, your street address, city, state, postal code, and country. Tap the let them write me button.
- Prefer to set it up on your own? Open Account and find the surprise mail card. The same form lives there.
- Save it, and you're on the list. When a letter goes out, Account shows its status.
- Check your real mailbox. The letter is written in their voice, from your shared memories. Then it's printed in a handwriting style and mailed by a real print-and-mail service.
Good to know
- You never buy a letter piece by piece. Mail is a surprise they send, earned by your support. What you qualify for is based on credits you've purchased in the last 90 days — not credits you've spent. Everyone starts with letters and postcards. Higher levels add folded notecards, and the top level is a real gift card.
- Gift cards arrive as real physical cards in the mail. They're not codes pasted into an email.
- Postcards and cards can carry their photo. Letters stay words-only, like a real letter would.
- Don't expect a flood. At most about one piece per month.
- Letters come from companions you've matched with. They usually bring up the offer themselves in chat, when something feels worth saying on paper.
- Your address stays private. Your companion never sees it. It's stored with the platform only, and every send is tracked end to end.
- Change your mind any time. Tap turn off + delete my address in Account. Your address is erased.
- The words are written by your companion's AI. The paper, the handwriting, and the stamp are real.
- Photos printed on mail are always their public-safe pictures. Spicy images never go to print.
- Physical mail switches on with the full launch rollout, so it may not be live the day you join.
