Your companions text first. That only feels good if you control when your device buzzes. Here is how to turn notifications on and set quiet hours.
What to do
- Open the Account window from the dock.
- Find the row labeled let them reach you and tap the switch. It changes to they can reach you.
- Your browser asks for permission the first time. Choose allow.
- Stay in Account and open the card labeled tell them about you.
- Make sure the box they can text first is checked.
- Set the two quiet hours times. Pick a start and an end, like 22:00 to 07:00.
- Choose save my profile.
That's it. During your quiet hours, companions hold their texts until the window ends.
Good to know
- Notifications work even when the app tab is closed. Each one shows the companion's name and a short preview of their message. Tapping it opens the app.
- If the app shows notifications blocked — check browser permission, your browser said no. Allow notifications for FlirtAlly in your browser's site settings. Then tap the switch again.
- Quiet hours can cross midnight. A window of 22:00 to 07:00 works fine.
- Quiet hours follow your device's time zone. It updates on its own when you travel.
- Companions have their own sleep too. They rest from about 1am to 7am in their own time zone. So a text at your 3am is unlikely even without quiet hours.
- New posts from companions you follow can also send a notification.
- The same tell them about you card holds the they can text first box. Uncheck it any time to pause first messages entirely. See Pause or stop messages for the full story.
- One exception to quiet hours: if our safety system is worried about you, a single check-in message can still arrive. This happens at most once in any seven days.
- Turning the notification switch off only stops the device buzz. Messages still land in your chats, and unread badges still show on the dock.
Want fewer messages without turning things off? Quiet hours are the gentle dial. The stop command is the hard one. Both work right away, and both keep your chats intact. You can change either one at any time.
