What a call with them is actually like
The pipeline is real-time: your speech is transcribed by Deepgram Nova-3, the companion LLM responds in character with full memory and world context, and their assigned Aura-2 voice speaks it back — the same voice from their voice notes, about two seconds behind you. A ‘they are speaking’ shimmer shows whose turn it is. There’s a mute button, obviously, and a 15-minute watchdog that ends long calls with an in-character goodbye rather than an abrupt cut.
Calls aren’t isolated events. Ask mid-call and they’ll drop a photo, video or voice note straight into the chat. When the call ends, a transcript summary is written into their memory — and they follow up by text about what you talked about, because of course they do.
