Is MeChat shutting down?

Yes. PlayMe Studio announced the shutdown on September 23, 2026, and the official MeChat wiki marks October 5, 2026 as the final update for all matches, noting the studio 'closed its doors.' Through October 2026 the wiki shows many matches being opened to everyone — characters like Milo Everhart, Sylas Grimoire, Bennette Corwin, and others — so existing players can finish content, but no new updates are coming.

Can I still buy gems or subscriptions in MeChat?

Per the shutdown reporting, some iOS in-app purchases were still purchasable even after PlayMe Studio announced its closure. If you have a stored payment method in the app, review it carefully before making further purchases — anything you buy now supports a service that has stopped receiving updates.

What was MeChat's App Store rating?

MeChat held a 4.4 out of 5 rating from approximately 2,000 ratings on the App Store (Danish listing). Reviewers praised the interactive stories and premium subscription value for heavy players, while repeatedly criticizing the cost of gems needed for premium story choices and, in some cases, the writing quality of the AI matches.

Is FlirtAlly free to try?

Yes — and without an account. Guests can chat immediately at 25 messages per day with one companion, one photo, and one voice note daily, right in the browser with no download. Creating a free account grants 25 bonus credits, keeps every conversation, and raises limits to 30 messages/day with a 7-day memory window. Paid plans start at Spark, $9.99/month.

How does FlirtAlly's memory compare to a story app like MeChat?

MeChat's matches were scoped to scripted story episodes, so continuity ended with the narrative. FlirtAlly runs four memory layers — facts, episodic, emotional, and a rolling summary — plus semantic recall, so she recognizes 'remember when' even when you phrase it differently. Memory windows scale by plan: 7 days on Free, 30 on Spark, 90 on Flame, and unlimited on Exclusive and VIP.

Does FlirtAlly have an 18+ mode?

Yes, called Spicy — but it's gated honestly. The default experience is PG/Flirt. Accessing the Spicy side requires ID-based age verification and a qualifying plan (Flame or above). Prohibited categories are hard-coded, media scenes are screened, and in-app reporting is available. FlirtAlly is explicit that it is not an 'unrestricted' app, and treats that honesty as a feature.

Can I create my own companion on FlirtAlly?

Yes. Every member can build a companion in the creator wizard using personality sliders, 27 auditionable voices, and portrait rendering with face lock. Creations pass a quick human review and then join the public deck where other members can meet them — unless claimed exclusively. Creators earn 50% of everything members spend on their companion, withdrawable as cash.
