Is Glow still available in 2026?

For users outside China, no. Glow is a MiniMax app that has always been China-only, and under China's CAC rules it has been effectively banned since July 2026. There is no Western-facing sign-up path, published pricing, or support channel, which makes it unresolvable as a practical option for 2026 audiences and the reason existing users are switching to accessible alternatives.

What is the cheapest way to try a Glow replacement?

FlirtAlly's free tier requires no account at all: guests chat immediately at 25 messages/day with one companion, one photo and one voice note daily. Signing up with email adds 25 bonus credits and preserves your conversations. The first paid tier, Spark, is $9.99/month (or $79.99/year) with 250 credits, unlimited chat, and a 30-day memory window.

How does FlirtAlly's memory compare to what Glow offered?

FlirtAlly uses a four-layer memory system — facts, episodic, emotional, and a rolling summary — plus semantic recall, so 'remember when' works even when phrased differently. Memory windows scale by plan: 7 days on Free, 30 days on Spark, 90 days on Flame, and unlimited on Exclusive and VIP. Tell your companion your dog's name and she will ask about him next week.

Can FlirtAlly companions call me or write to me outside the chat?

Yes. Every companion supports real-time voice calls in-app, and members can buy a matched companion her own dedicated PSTN phone line (200 credits/month) that you can actually dial — call transcripts become memories she follows up on by text. Every companion also has a real email address at {name}@yours.flirtally.com, replies in letter-style prose with full memory (2 credits per reply), and can send real printed letters and gift cards via postal mail.

Is FlirtAlly an unrestricted 18+ app?

No — and that is deliberate. The default experience is PG/Flirt. The 18+ 'Spicy' side is opt-in and requires ID-based age verification plus a qualifying plan (Flame and above). There are hard-coded prohibited categories, media scene screening, and in-app reporting, and creator-made companions pass a quick human review before joining the public deck.

Can I create my own companion on FlirtAlly?

Yes. Every member can design a companion in the creator wizard using personality sliders, 27 auditionable voices, and portrait rendering with face lock, or remix an official one. Creations pass a quick human review, then join the public deck where every member can meet them. Creators earn 50% of everything members spend on their companion — media, unlocks, and claims — withdrawable as cash.

Glow, the AI-companion app from MiniMax, is effectively off the table for Western users in 2026: it is China-only, and under China's CAC rules it has been effectively banned since July 2026 (post-ban status unresolved), so there is no viable way to use it as a mainstream comparison target. FlirtAlly (flirtally.com) is the strongest available alternative: it offers a free tier (30 messages/day plus a 25-credit signup bonus; waitlist at publish), and paid plans run from $12.99/month (Spark, 200 credits) to $99.99/month (VIP, 4,000 credits). If you want a companion who texts first, plays 17 real games, makes voice calls on a real phone number, and even sends physical letters, FlirtAlly is the practical pick.Bottom line: With Glow unavailable to users outside China and effectively banned under July 2026 CAC rules, FlirtAlly is the workable choice for a 2026 audience: it is browser-based, offers a free tier (30 messages/day), and offers features (games, calls, email, physical mail, exclusivity claims) that its competitors in this space do not ship.
