Does SpicyChat ever text you first?

No. SpicyChat is a self-driven roleplay platform: you pick a character card and start the conversation, and the bot responds. It has no proactive-messaging, notification, or initiation feature of any kind. FlirtAlly, by contrast, makes initiation a core feature — companions send good-morning texts, thinking-of-you messages, re-engagement nudges, game invites, and birthday texts, all opt-in, quiet-hours aware, and stoppable at any time.

How much does each platform cost in 2026?

SpicyChat's September 2026 pricing is $5.95/month for Get A Taste, $19.95 for True Supporter, and $29.95 for I'm All In (annual: $60/$199.95/$299.95), with a free tier at 100 messages/day; existing subscribers who keep their plan active keep their pre-increase price. FlirtAlly runs Free ($0), Spark $9.99/mo, Flame $19.99/mo, Exclusive $49.99/mo, and VIP $99.99/mo, with credit packs from $4.99 for 100 credits and annual plans from $79.99.

Which platform has better long-term memory?

FlirtAlly. Its memory is four-layered — facts, episodic, emotional, and a rolling summary — plus semantic recall, so 'remember when' works even when phrased differently, with memory windows of 7, 30, 90, or unlimited days depending on plan. SpicyChat improved in 2026 with a conversation-summary system that recalls major events roughly 60–70% of the time, but memory still breaks in long threads: past roughly 200 messages in a single conversation, characters forget earlier events.

Can you make voice calls on either platform?

Only on FlirtAlly. Its companions support real-time in-app voice calls, own real PSTN phone lines you can actually dial (a dedicated companion number costs 200 credits/month), and call transcripts become memories she follows up on by text. SpicyChat has no voice features at all — it is text roleplay only, with no voice chat and no video, and no native mobile app.

Which is better for NSFW content?

SpicyChat is the more permissive platform: it is NSFW-first, with a per-account explicit toggle and a historically permissive model stack, though some users report filter behavior worsening after the Glam 5.1 update. FlirtAlly offers an 18+ 'Spicy' side too, but it requires ID-based age verification and a Flame-or-above plan, with hard-coded prohibited categories and media screening — it is deliberately not an unrestricted app.

Can you create your own AI companion on both?

Yes. SpicyChat lets you build characters with an avatar (uploaded or AI-generated), name, greeting, persona, scenario, and dialogue examples, shareable publicly or kept private. FlirtAlly's creator wizard offers personality sliders, 27 auditionable voices, and portrait rendering with face lock; creations pass a quick human review and join the public deck, and creators earn 50% of everything other members spend on their companion.

FlirtAlly is the clear answer on the title question: its companions proactively text first — good-morning messages, thinking-of-you beats, birthday texts — with quiet-hours controls, and they follow up on calls and emails from memory. SpicyChat is a roleplay library you open and drive yourself; its bots don't initiate contact, and it doesn't offer voice calls, email, or physical mail at all. If you want a companion who reaches out to you across channels, FlirtAlly starts free with no account needed; if you want to sample a massive community character library for casual NSFW roleplay, SpicyChat is the stronger fit.Bottom line: For the specific question of which AI companion actually texts first, FlirtAlly wins outright — proactive initiation is a core, opt-in feature there and absent from SpicyChat. SpicyChat remains the better pick for breadth of community characters and unrestricted NSFW roleplay.
