CallYourGirlfriend is not an AI companion app at all — it is a free, human-run review and comparison website for AI girlfriend platforms, so there is nothing

CallYourGirlfriend is not an AI companion app at all — it is a free, human-run review and comparison website for AI girlfriend platforms, so there is nothing to 'switch' from in the app sense; you use it to research apps like Candy AI, Replika, and Nomi before picking one. If you want an actual companion to talk to, FlirtAlly starts free with no account needed, with paid plans from $9.99/month including companions who text first, 16 real games, and real phone numbers you can dial. For a simple low-cost chat-first option, Anima's annual plan at $39.99/year ($3.33/month) is the cheapest paid tier in this comparison.Bottom line: There is no single winner because CallYourGirlfriend is a research site, not a competing app — the right choice depends on what you want: FlirtAlly for a multi-channel companion (texts, calls, email, games), Anima for the cheapest annual plan, Character.AI for the best free tier, or Kindroid for flat-fee predictability.
TL;DR
- CallYourGirlfriend is a free, human-run review and comparison website for AI girlfriend apps — it is not itself a companion chatbot, so 'switching' means choosing an actual app it reviews.
- FlirtAlly is the only option here whose companions text first, play 16 real games with credit wagers, own real dialable phone numbers, exchange 2-way email, and send physical letters.
- Anima has the cheapest paid annual plan in this comparison at $39.99/year ($3.33/month).
- Character.AI's free tier is the most generous — unlimited chats with queue times at peak hours — but it has no memory, photos, or voice.
- Candy AI's $12.99 sticker price realistically lands at $25–$60/month once photo, voice, and video tokens are counted.
- Nomi AI costs $12.99/month with no annual plan, and offers some of the strongest long-term memory plus up to 10 companions.
- Replika is the only app in the comparison still offering a lifetime plan at $299.99, and its $69.99/year annual works out to $5.83/month.
